Women of Vision Mentorship Program
Our Goal
Our goal is to educate female high school students by providing positive role models, demonstrating wise life choices, and empowering students to reach their goals.
Women of Vision Mentorship Program
The Executive Women’s Alliance implemented the Women of Vision (WOV) Mentoring Program at the Conroe High School, Texas in 2007. The emphasis of Women of Vision is to improve the self-esteem and self image of female high-school students through presentations, personal development and leadership lessons. Students gain exposure to a variety of educational and career opportunities, and learn to take responsibility for their own successes.
Since adding Oak Ridge High School in 2024, the program has expanded and now mentors a group of about 65 students, ranging from 9th to 12th grade. Students are required to make and keep a commitment to monthly meetings and scheduled activities. Meetings are designed to educate mentees in the many post high school educational and career opportunities available. The three year program specifically targets students who have a desire to achieve, but who need encouragement and professional assistance, to realize their goals.
Additionally, we encourage the students to give back to their communities buy selecting a charity or program to support and completing a service project to support that charity.
Students interested in becoming a Women of Vision may request an application at their high school’s counseling office.
Our scholarship deadlines for our Seniors and graduates of the Women of Vision program are March 1st and November 1st each year. Please email us for your copy of our scholarship application.

Women of Vision Testimonials
“The mentoring program at Conroe ISD has provided me with the opportunity to invest in the next generation. Working one on one with a student has a positive effect on their enhanced self-esteem and self-confidence. The students look forward to working with their mentor each week and it often provides them the opportunity for personal growth they may not achieve in the group classroom setting. Mentoring helps position the students for success and encourages a higher level of engagement. During mentoring, we often talk about making good choices and learning how to be a good citizen. Something as simple as encouraging the student to make their bed each morning before going to school gives them a sense of purpose and accomplishment they can be proud of. While I pour into these students because I want them to be successful, I personally gain so much in return from the students because you build a level of trust and friendship with them overtime. It’s a sense of accomplishment for me as a mentor to watch my mentees progress through the year and then be able to look back on all their successes since the beginning of the year. I take great pride in knowing I was a part of their personal and academic transformation.”

“I’ve truly enjoyed being part of the Women of Vision (WOV) program at Oak Ridge High School. Each month, I’m energized by the incredible young ladies we work with - it’s my favorite day every month! Every session, the girls learn something new, whether from the topic or our amazing panelists. I always walk away learning from them too.
This year, I especially appreciated how open the girls were in sharing their experiences. It’s powerful to witness their growth—from shy beginnings to confidently expressing themselves at our end-of-year celebration. One student asked to share what WOV meant to her, which opened the door for others to reflect on their friendships, confidence, leadership, and the mentorship they’ve received. I was incredibly proud.
Looking ahead to next year, we’ll be welcoming fifteen new girls. Those returning will be amazing role models and friends to the incoming sophomores. I’m so proud to be part of something that helps young women realize they can, do, and will make a difference. We talk about career paths, the unpredictability of life, and the power of women supporting each other through shared experience.
Ask us how you can become more involved—this program is truly something special!”

“The Women of Vision Mentoring Program was the primary reason I chose to join EWA. The opportunity to equip young women with the skills and knowledge they need to confidently shape their futures is incredibly fulfilling. It’s a deeply rewarding experience that, in many ways, gives me more than I could ever give them. Being part of their growth and success is truly a joy.”
